A little about us. Welcome to Mean Green Chef, a blog devoted to fresh seasonal ingredients, food photography, and simple things in life. Hi, I’m Angela, I grew up in New York in an Irish-Italian multi-generational restaurateur family.
I’ve been in the kitchen over 35 years, and it’s still my favorite place to create. Growing up in the hustle and bustle of professional kitchens is the forefront for my love of all things food. From baking bread, and desserts, to hand rolling pasta and mastering the art of soup making. It’s the bedrock that shaped my life. My partner Craig is in charge of wine, props, backgrounds and is a master taste tester! He builds the backgrounds we use in our photography and helped create my studio that’s brightly lit by the warm Florida sun. He’s also an artist and wooden boat craftsmen by trade, who’s sailed around the world twice!!
Mean Green Chef is the concept that delicious meals should always be beautiful, seasonal, and full of flavor! We believe that anyone can cook if they have the desire. Great ingredients and a foundation of techniques result in outstanding dishes.
